If you feel you would benefit from supported accommodation with CareKind, please get in touch with us and we will be more than happy to provide you with help and advice. Our website has details of the different types of support and accommodation we provide, but if you want more information before making a self-referral, please get in touch.
Once we receive your application, we will contact you to arrange an assessment. In the assessment, you will meet with one of our staff members and discuss your needs, as well as discussing with us why you feel that supported accommodation would benefit you. This is an opportunity for you to discuss with our staff what barriers you are experiencing to living in mainstream accommodation, any concerns you have about your ability to live independently and any other issues you may be facing. Our staff are friendly and professional and will treat you with the utmost respect and care.
After the assessment meeting has taken place, we will be in touch to let you know the outcome. If your application for supported housing has been successful, you will be put on a waiting list. If your application has been unsuccessful, we will explain the reason for this and will provide you with advice on what next steps you can take to gain access to support that is suited to you.
We’ll contact you soon after that meeting to let you know the outcome. If your application has been successful, we’ll place you onto our waiting list immediately. Please keep us up to date with any changes in your housing, contact details or needs while you wait. We need to be able to contact you quickly when accommodation becomes available.
If you have any further questions about our referral process, please contact us and we will aim to get back to you as soon as possible.
